SERVICES
Contraception
Birth control or contraception is a group of methods that focus on preventing the birth of a baby after engaging in sexual intercourse. Birth control involves numerous ways to prevent sperm from reaching eggs for fertilisation; various birth control options include withdrawal methods, condoms, cervical caps, intrauterine devices, vaginal rings, contraceptive tablets, implants, injections and patches.
General gynaecology
General gynaecology focuses on treating a broad range of gynaecological conditions common in women, such as:
- The treatment of fibroids
- The treatment of menstrual abnormalities
- The treatment of chronic pelvic pain
- The screening and diagnosis of gynaecological cancers
- Embracing menopause
Delivery and postpartum care
The delivery period is a highly anticipated time whereby the expectant mother starts the process of giving birth. This can be done via natural ways (vaginal birth) or via caesarean section (planned or emergency).
Postpartum care is specialised care in the period of six weeks after the baby's delivery. This is a time for a mother to adjust to her new life following a specific birthing plan. The weeks after giving birth, the mother has time to bond with her baby and attend regular postpartum check-ups with her doctor.
Fertility care
Fertility care is a branch of reproductive medicine that incorporates a high level of care when investigating and treating couples facing infertility. We will be able to assess couples thoroughly, request specific tests to establish the most probable causes of their fertility issues, initiate treatment and refer them to fertility centres whenever necessary.
Gynaecological endoscopy
Gynaecological endoscopy is an explorative and treatment technique that utilises an endoscope to penetrate an orifice or insert through tiny incisions to diagnose and treat vaginal bleeding, endometrial polyps, fibroids, endometriosis, and problems with fertility. We do have a high interest in this field of gynaecology because it offers patients additional benefits compared to other diagnostic and treatment modalities (shorter length of stay in the hospital, less blood loss, quicker recovery postoperatively).
